1. Honey I Washed My Hair Shampoo Bar
This sweetly scented shampoo bar has a smooth and moisturizing lather that won’t dry out your hair. It is my go-to option for daily washing.
Lasts for: Up to 80 washes, or about two months if you have long hair and wash every day or two.
2. Seanik Shampoo Bar
This is a highly lathering shampoo bar that adds a little shine to your hair and gives you a volume boost. I use this one when I really need a deep clean, like after the gym, or if my hair gets oily.
Lasts for: About two months if you have long hair and wash every day or two.
3. Jason and the Argan Oil Shampoo Bar
This shampoo bar smells so lovely, like a garden of roses making out with your nostrils. It lathers well and it moisturizes like crazy, but sadly this bar breaks apart easily. I used it probably five times before it split into three pieces. Sad to say that I won’t be purchasing it again, but perhaps others might have better luck.
Lasts for: 80 washes is the standard. Even if it breaks, you can keep using the pieces!
4. Big Shampoo
This shampoo is surprisingly softening for something that contains so much salt. The formula is balanced with avocado butter and coconut oil to keep your hair moisturized, and the salt helps to add crazy volume and body. You only need a tiny bit of it, like a quarter size amount for long hair, which I honestly didn’t believe until I used it.
Lasts for: About a month and a half if you use it every day or two, but I suggest using this less frequently and supplementing with a shampoo bar in between to make it last longer. It’s perfect for the days you don’t have time to style your hair.
5. Ocean Salt Face and Body Scrub
I bought this scrub for my face thinking that it would be a great two-in-one toner and exfoliating scrub. However, the lime and vodka in the self-preserving formula made my skin feel like it was murdering itself. It was way too strong for my skin, so I exchanged it. I probably should have tested it first (you can ask for a sample of pretty much anything), but I was too excited about it. The good news is that I have read reviews saying that people with sensitive skin have still had a lot of success with this scrub, so if you test it first and it works for you, declare me officially envious.
Lasts for: It depends on if you’re using it for a face or body scrub or both. I’d give it at least three months for a face scrub because you should use something this strong only one or two times a week.
6. American Cream Hair Conditioner
This conditioner honestly did not work for me at all. I had to use an enormous palm-full of it just to get my hair coated enough to brush through it. I imagine it would work really beautifully for people with thin hair that doesn’t tangle easily. There are a lot of other conditioners by Lush that might work for me, but the cost can be prohibitive on some of them.
Lasts for: It depends on the size of the bottle, but the 3.3-ounce one lasted about a week and a half for me, given how much I had to use.
7. Big Solid Conditioner
This conditioner bar also did not work for me. The seaweed extract is supposedly really nourishing, but the bar left my hair feeling sticky and I think it actually created even more tangles. If you have tangly-when-wet hair, this might not be the product for you. The good news is that if you don’t like a product, you can always return Lush items for a full refund (if you have your receipt) or get store credit/do an exchange (if you don’t have your receipt). You have an unlimited amount of time to exchange, even if you’ve used your product.
Lasts for: I don’t know how long it lasts for sure because I exchanged it, but a lot of the reviews say that one issue with this bar is that it doesn’t last very long. You have to pinch off a piece to use it every time as opposed to just stroking your hair with it (like shampoo bars), so it probably doesn’t last for more than a month if you condition daily.
8. Happy Hippy Shower Gel
This is literally the happiest thing you can use in your shower. It smells like grapefruit and bergamot and it’s both nourishing and moisturizing. I discovered it in a gift pack that my partner’s mom got me for Christmas a few years ago (Hi Cathy!) and it’s still one of my favorite products.
Lasts for: About three weeks if you wash every day or so.
9. Bohemian Soap
This soap smells deliciously lemony and juicy. It’s definitely effective, but the issue is that the lemon peel can get pretty coarse and the exfoliation can get a bit intense for people with sensitive skin. I still love it, though!
Lasts for: About two months.
10. Solid Sugar Scrub
This sugar scrub is an exfoliation dream that is meant to tone your skin. The ingredients are gentle enough that you won’t get irritated, unless you are particularly sensitive to large exfoliating particles, and it has a little bit of a lather to it. It smells lovely and herbaceous, like fennel and lavender. Be careful not to run the bar under water or it will dissolve. You should get your body wet and then scrub out of the range of your shower head before rinsing off.
Lasts for: About 15 full-body uses.
11. Ultrabland Facial Cleanser
Ultrabland may not have the most attractive name, but it’s one of the most effective makeup removing cleansers I’ve ever used. This cleanser is actually a bit strange because you can’t use any water with it. To use properly, you should rub a dime sized amount (more if you wear a lot of makeup) onto your face and then use a damp washcloth or a cotton pad to wipe it off. If you try to use it in the shower, the water and beeswax will emulsify into a hot mess on your face and it will clog your pores. I always follow Ultrabland with a toner and a moisturizer.
Lasts for: About a month and a half if you use it twice a day and don’t wear heavy makeup.
12. Skin Drink Facial Moisturizer
This moisturizer is the best Lush product I have ever used. It is so incredibly nourishing and it has virtually eliminated my dry spots. It smells a little funky because it has sesame oil and avocado in it, but it is honestly so amazing and moisturizing that IDGAF what it smells like.
Lasts for: About 1.5 months with regular, twice-daily use.
13. Let the Good Times Roll Face and Body Cleanser
This is probably my second favorite Lush product in existence. It smells like sweet popcorn, vanilla, honey, rainbows, unicorns, and babies. It’s the most incredible facial exfoliant, and it’s gentle enough for daily use. Sometimes I just stand in the shower and smell it because I can’t believe something so delicious exists in my hands.
Lasts for: About two months of daily to almost-daily use.
14. Full of Grace Serum Bar
I know that you are thinking about how much this serum bar looks like a vagina. You’re right; it does. But it’s also really powerful — just like a real vagina. A little of this bar goes a long way. I love to apply it after I use toner, both in the morning and before I go to bed. The mushroom extract also helps to reduce redness, which is awesome for rosacea. All you have to do is hold the bar between your palms until a thin layer melts onto your hands, then massage it into your face.
Lasts for: It will last for at least a month and a half if you use it daily.
15. Charity Pot Body Lotion
I love Charity Pot for a few reasons. If you didn’t know already, Lush has a foundation that supports the work of small grassroots organizations, which is funded entirely by the sales of its Charity Pot lotion. They recently released a new formula that I have not purchased yet, but I have tried it in the store and it’s incredibly moisturizing without leaving you feeling sticky. I still have my pot of the old formula, which I still love!
Lasts for: At least a month and a half of daily use (I used it only for my hands but if you use it for your whole body it won’t last as long).
16. Color Supplement (Foundation)
Lasts for: At least 1.5 months if you use it daily.
17. Sea Spray Hair Mist
This hair mist is a new part of my partner’s hair routine and it adds awesome volume to her curls. She styles her hair with a curling cream and then uses this spray after. I use it too occasionally, but I only spray it on once my hair is dry and styled to add some volume and keep my waves alive through the day.
Lasts for: At least two months with daily use, if you only use a few sprays.
18. From Dusk ‘Til Dawn Massage Bar
This massage bar smells so delicious and bright and warm. It glides smoothly, and leaves the skin feeling hydrated but not oily. Yes, It looks like a nipple. Thank you.
Lasts for: At least six months with frequent use.
19. Rose Jam Bubbleroon Bubble Bar
I love this bubble bar for how moisturizing it is. You can split it into two and get two baths out of it, or just drop the whole thing in and feel it melt against your skin. It smells so floral and feels so luxurious and it is laden with tons of rose oil. Make sure to rinse your tub out immediately after your bath to avoid pink staining.
Lasts for: One or two baths.
20. Tisty Tosty Bath Bomb
If you can’t tell by now, I love everything rose scented — and this bath bomb is no exception. It is clean, floral, and invigorating, and, when the dried roses float to the top and graze over your skin, you will feel like you’re at a real life spa. It won’t stain your bathtub, either.
Disclaimer: I have used probably half of the bath bombs Lush makes, but I’m sharing only my favorite so as not to make this post twice as long.
Lasts for: One use.
21. Lush Tins
These are definitely important for anyone buying package-free products like shampoo bars, massage bars, or body butters. If you are careful about not getting water in your shampoo bar tins in the shower, you can leave them open which frees up the top to hold another shampoo bar or small massage bar. They are also better for the environment than plastic alternatives.
